Marlu Galleries
Marlu Galleries Glenelg is proud to be South Australia’s Indigenous-owned art gallery located in the iconic seaside hub of Glenelg. Founded with a vision to honour and promote the richness of Aboriginal culture, we are dedicated to showcasing authentic artworks, cultural artefacts, and stories from First Nations artists across the country.
Every piece in our collection is carefully curated to reflect the deep connection between Aboriginal people, Country, and community.
From intricate dot paintings and traditional carvings to contemporary expressions of identity, our artworks speak to the resilience, beauty, and diversity of the world’s oldest living culture.
More than just a gallery, Marlu Galleries is a cultural meeting place. We regularly host exhibitions, workshops, art classes, and cultural talks, offering visitors an opportunity to learn, engage, and connect. These experiences foster cross-cultural understanding and provide a platform for Indigenous voices to be heard and celebrated.
Our exclusive Tide & Totem range of homewares and apparel blends traditional designs with contemporary style, bringing Aboriginal art into everyday life. Each product is ethically produced and artist-approved, ensuring that profits flow directly back to the creators and their communities.
We are committed to creating sustainable pathways for Indigenous artists, supporting them to share their stories and talents while building long-term income streams. Through partnerships, events, and national exposure, we aim to elevate Aboriginal art to its rightful place in Australia’s cultural landscape.
Whether you are an art collector, a first-time visitor, or someone seeking a deeper connection to Aboriginal heritage, Marlu Galleries Glenelg invites you to step inside, listen to the stories, and experience the spirit of Country through art.
