Long ago, the Seven Sisters danced together in the sky, their light guiding travellers across the land. They were graceful and free, their song carried on the wind, echoing through the hills and rivers below. But one night, as they danced, a jealous spirit reached from the darkness and tried to capture their beauty. In the struggle, one sister slipped and fell, tumbling from the heavens.
She landed gently upon the earth, her light scattering into the soil, rivers, and stones. Where she touched the ground, flowers bloomed in her colours, and waterholes shimmered like fragments of the night sky. Her sisters, heartbroken, remained above, watching over her and the places she blessed with her presence.
The patterns in the land still tell her story — the circles of meeting places, the pathways of footsteps, and the stars above that never stop searching for their lost sister. On clear nights, when the Seven Sisters shine brightest, you can feel their bond across the sky and earth, a promise that love and connection are eternal.
